The Moonstone Connection
with Rabbi Jill Hammer and Ariel Vegosen
Date/Time: Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 / 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (PST)
In this workshop we will hear passages from Rabbi Jill Hammer’s book “The Moonstone Covenant” and have the opportunity to interview the author and apply the themes to our own stories and lives. The Moonstone Covenant features a queer foursome living in a watery multicultural city where magic is forbidden but very much alive. One is a refugee prophetess who can talk to trees and books, another a warrior librarian, the third a former concubine with a sorcerous gift for playing the harp and the fourth an apothecary with a tragic past. The four set out to solve a mystery and protect their loved ones, and end up finding and fighting the untruth at the heart of the city’s founding. Join us for a deep dive into the mysteries of queer literature and explore this unique opportunity to meet the author!

TranSacred Joy: A Workshop Reminding Ourselves of The Sacredness of our Gender Fluidity
Date/Time: Wednesday, December 17th, 2025 / 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (PST)
with Lauren (LC) Martinez
To identify and live as a person left of center of the gender norms is a radical act of love and power, especially in these current times. Most of us know that we aren’t the first to walk this path, that our trancestors in their many iterations did what they desired and needed, to be as authentically themselves at the periods of time they were on this Earth. This workshop is a celebration and a joyful remembrance of our sacred nature as liminal beings on this planet. Together we will explore our lineages, be in the sacred nature of gender fluidity, and practice weaving our intersections through embodied ritual.
Everyone of all backgrounds is welcome. Bring something to write with and on. Bring a material that represents 5 elements: Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Ether (electricity). This is a free event.
