In this workshop we will hear passages from Rabbi Jill Hammer’s book “The Moonstone Covenant” and have the opportunity to interview the author and apply the themes to our own stories and lives. The Moonstone Covenant features a queer foursome living in a watery multicultural city where magic is forbidden but very much alive. One is a refugee prophetess who can talk to trees and books, another a warrior librarian, the third a former concubine with a sorcerous gift for playing the harp and the fourth an apothecary with a tragic past. The four set out to solve a mystery and protect their loved ones, and end up finding and fighting the untruth at the heart of the city’s founding. Join us for a deep dive into the mysteries of queer literature and explore this unique opportunity to meet the author!
Everyone of all backgrounds is welcome. This is a free event.
